CELIAC:WHAT IT IS???

Celiac disease is an autoimmune disease. Gluten, which is found in wheat, barley and rye triggers an immune reaction in people with coeliac disease. This means that eating gluten damages the lining of the small intestine. The symptoms of coeliac disease vary from person to person and can range from very mild to severe.

SYMPTOMS
Possible symptoms may include: diarrhoea, excessive wind, and/or constipation persistent or unexplained gastrointestinal symptoms, such as nausea and vomiting recurrent stomach pain, cramping or bloating any combination of iron, vitamin B12 or folic acid deficiency tiredness and/or headaches weight loss (but not in all cases) mouth ulcers hair loss (alopecia) skin rash (dermatitis herpetiformis (DH)) tooth enamel problems osteoporosis depression infertility repeated miscarriages joint and/or bone pain neurological (nerve) problems such as ataxia (poor muscle co-ordination) and neuropathy (numbness and tingling in the hands and feet).
Osteoporosis, a disease that weakens bones and leads to fractures. This occurs because the person has trouble absorbing enough calcium and vitamin D.
Other diseases associated with celiac are following

1.Miscarriage or infertility.
2.Birth defects, such as neural tube defects (improper formation of the spine) caused by poor absorption of such nutrients as folic acid.
Seizures.
3.Growth problems in children because they don't absorb enough nutrients.
4.Cancer of the intestine (very rare).
5.Thyroid disease
6.Type 1 diabetes
7.Lupus
8.Rheumatoid arthritis
9.Sjögren's syndrome (a disorder that causes insufficient moisture production by the glands)
Homoepathy is the only alternative in treating celiac symptoms as it is not curable in modern medicine.
